About Us

CK Fulfilment is a growing 3PL and ecommerce fulfilment business based in Chorley. We store, pick, pack and ship for brands across the UK and worldwide.

We're also building our own AI and automation tools to take the repetitive work out of running a warehouse business, and that now includes finance.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced bookkeeper to take on our day-to-day bookkeeping, working closely with our Finance Manager. You'll keep our ledgers accurate and up to date, and help us shape and test the automation tools we're building to speed up our finance processes.

The role starts at 16 hours a week, with some flexibility needed around our busy peak season.

What You'll Do

Working closely with our Finance Manager, you'll keep our ledgers accurate and up to date, and help us shape and test the automation tools we're building to speed up our finance processes.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Invoices & bill run

Processing supplier invoices and posting them to Sage 50, and processing and uploading the weekly sales bill run.

Payments

Posting and matching bank payments, and recording and matching client payments.

Sales & purchase ledgers

Keeping the sales and purchase ledgers accurate and up to date.

VAT & month-end

Preparing VAT returns for review by our Finance Manager and supporting month-end close.

Checking automation output

Checking the output of our automation tools against source records and flagging any differences.

Automation & process improvement

Sharing ideas on processes that could be automated, and helping our developers test new tools.

Could This Be You?

We're looking for an experienced bookkeeper who's accurate, organised and open to new technology.

What we're looking for:

At least 2 years' bookkeeping experience, ideally including VAT returns.
Strong working knowledge of Sage 50.
AAT Level 3 or above, or equivalent experience.
Supervised for anti-money laundering (AML) with HMRC or a professional body, with your own professional indemnity insurance.
Confident with Excel.
Accurate, organised and comfortable working to weekly deadlines.
Open to new technology and interested in how AI and automation can improve bookkeeping.
